Children's Brecon Beacons

The Brecon Beacons have plenty to keep children entertained, with a number of attractions and activities within easy reach of the holiday property.

From spectacular showcaves and dinosaurs to a trip on the Brecon Mountain Railway, from horseriding and archery, to going underground to experience a real coal mine, there’s no chance that children will be bored in the Brecon Beacons. You can even book some fun and unusual Good Days Out such as sheep treking, walking with pigs, helping hedgehogs or lambing.

Many places hold special children’s events, especially during school holidays.Check out events at the National Park Visitor Centre, Brecknock Museum in Brecon (currently closed due to major improvements) and at Blaenavon World Heritage Centre, which runs themed days throughout the year.The Hay Festival also holds a series of events just for children.
