The School Annex provides self catering accommodation in a stone built property set in the grounds of Talybont village Old School House and has easy access to Brecon, Crickhowell and Abergavenny. The self catering Annex is separate from the Old School House, with direct access from the garden and shared driveway.
Enjoying extensive countryside views and situated on the Taff Trail for walkers and mountain bikers, this detached holiday home is available for long weekends, short breaks or longer stays. Ideal for a family or group of close friends who prefer the convenience of self catering. The property comfortably sleeps 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 children. However for groups, by arrangement, there is a good occasional single bed suitable for teenagers or adults. As the saying goes 'location, location, location' and this is definitely what you get when visiting The School Annex. We are in the heart of Talybont on Usk, a lively village with canal and rivers offering an excellent base for exploring the Brecon Beacons with walking and cycling direct from the garden and incredible star gazing at night. You are also only a few minutes walk from the village shop, café and post office, and two great pubs and a restaurant serving a good range of food.
Visitors love the stunning location and relaxed atmosphere of our holiday cottage, which has a unique design, featuring a mezzanine floor and a detached kitchen. Whilst there are steep steps to the mezzanine bedroom, there is a second double bedroom on the ground floor with easy access. The large kitchen/diner is located a few paces across an external courtyard from the living space and, for your convenience, both bedrooms have tea and coffee making facilities.
The property benefits from its own patio with BBQ and garden space although the shared access through the garden does mean that you might bump into us from time to time - comes in handy when you want some friendly local information!
